Urban Boho Bridal Editorial Featuring

Everyday I walk along the London South Bank, I feel energised by the beautiful river view and vibrant culture. I thought why not do a style shoot at London South Bank, where our bridal studio is based?

The neon light at Oxo Tower outside our studio is rustic but with charm. We wanted this shoot to be an urban style, with vibrant neon lights and beautiful river views. We styled the ‘brides’ with our ‘Dora’ and ‘Beth’ dresses. ‘Dora’ dress is a halter neckline dress highlighted with cross straps and a low back. ‘Beth’ dress has a minimalistic design and with separate off-shoulder lace sleeves.

Makeup & HairWe let the hair down, put on bright red lipstick and created an electric look. The makeup is done by Keighley Kay and the hair is by Iqra Rahim-Babar

EarringsThe earrings are provided by Laura from Honey Blossom. Laura creates beautiful crystal and semi-precious stone jewellery for free spirit brides. The jewellery pieces we used for the shoot contains beautiful blue and blush pink hues. The designs were kept simple, yet elegant, to add an extra touch of beauty to the brides and already stunning dresses.

PhotographyWe went with a darker, dramatic style for the photos. Our photographer is Manon Pauffin, she is an alternative wedding photographer. She is really good at connecting with the models, making them feel relaxed when doing intimate postures and capturing love stories.

RingsWe used two simple but elegant rings from Nikki Stark Jewellery. One is sterling silver stacking rings with amethyst and London blue topaz. The other is 9ct yellow gold stacking rings with black onyx and moissanite. Nikki makes simple, elegant fine jewellery in a small workshop just outside London. She offers a range of simple delicate pieces of her own design, supplies traditional bands and makes some bespoke pieces.

Hand Painted Bridal Jackets

Hand-painted leather jacketsThe leather jackets were hand-painted by Sammy Lea's Retro Emporium. The artwork drew inspiration from nature with blossom and flowers creating a striking juxtaposition against the urban landscape. We chose a black and a white jacket together for the shoot, to show the contrast in style between the two gorgeous ‘brides’.
