Modern Luxe Wedding at Goldsborough Hall
We couldn’t be more delighted to share this modern inspiration for an Orangery wedding with the perfect mix of contemporary and romantic and lovely luxe details from the wedding planner Javie Melissa.
The shoot is hosted at Goldsborough Hall, which is a 17th century stately manor located in North Yorkshire. The Orangery, built only two years ago, is an elegant space with beautiful exposed brick walls, skylights and crystal chandeliers, created the perfect backdrop for this shoot. Captured by fine art wedding photographer Arabella Smith, the result of this elegant and romantic concept is as soft and dreamy as initially envisioned.
We decided to keep the bride’s look simple, with neutral makeup, a braided updo and gorgeous silver jewellery and hair accessories from Starbox Jewellery. Our dress Beth is elegantly minimal with a delicate lace detail along its straight neckline. The groom wore are a classic navy morning suit with light grey and blush accessories by Ashworth and Bird.
We worked with a soft colour palette of blush, dusky pink, ivory and light grey combined with gold as the metallic accent. For the tablescape design, the table was draped in a stunning ivory crushed velvet linen and adorned with one small and one large floral arrangements in order to create an element of asymmetry. The florals from Deluxe Blooms comprised of blush roses, white peonies and lots of greenery that were ideal for the concept. The muted tones harmonised perfectly with the gold cutlery, contemporary candlesticks and gold-rimmed glassware.
The stationery used within this shoot radiates romance and sophistication, from the beautiful handwritten calligraphy marble place cards by Miss Modern Calligraphy to the timeless letterpress invitation suite by Phylecia Sutherland. This aesthetic also extends to the five tier marble cake by White Rose Cake Design which was an absolute spectacle that introduced an element of drama onto the set.”
